The loan, in GSIS's own terms
GSIS opened the Ginhawa Solar Energy Loan in March 2026 for government employees, and extended it to pensioners at the end of September 2026. It lends up to ₱500,000 at 5 percent a year computed in advance (GSIS states an effective rate of about 9.5 percent), payable over 60 months. You apply through the GSIS Touch app.
There is no service fee. A one-time insurance premium and some advance interest are deducted from the amount released. GSIS also insures the panels against fire, lightning, earthquake and typhoon for three years after the installation is reported complete.
The loan does not tie you to a particular installer. What GSIS asks for is a supplier quotation, contract or official receipt that you upload with your application.
The six-month rule
Within six months of the loan release, you must file a notice of completion with GSIS. It needs a certification from your installer that the installation meets applicable standards, plus photos. If it is not filed, the whole loan becomes due. An installer who disappears after handover leaves you exposed here.
We issue the installation-completion certification and the photos as part of every GSIS-financed install, so the notice can go in on time.
What our quotation gives you
Our proposals itemise every component and every labour line: each panel, the inverter, the battery if there is one, breakers, cabling and mounting, and our professional fee as a per-watt rate on the system installed. A reviewer can see what the money buys. There are no lump sums to explain.
We prepare the quotation after a site visit, so the system on paper is the system that fits your roof and your bill.

What the monthly payment looks like
GSIS’s own published example is a ₱500,000 loan at about ₱10,417 a month over 60 months. Your actual amount depends on the loan GSIS approves. Check the figure in GSIS Touch before you commit. We are not part of the loan decision and cannot promise approval.
What you still get from us
The loan pays for the system. The standard of the work is ours to keep. The installation team that builds your system signs the workmanship warranty.
Panels carry 25 years of performance warranty and 12 years of product warranty. Hybrid inverters carry 5 years, and batteries 8 years. Our own workmanship warranty runs 2–3 years, depending on the package.
Every install ships with a documentation pack: as-built diagrams, panel string layouts, labelled breakers, warranty registrations and a one-page operating guide. Every DC run is labelled and every lug is torque-checked.
If you want to export surplus power under net-metering, we prepare the engineer-signed single-line and as-built drawings your distribution utility asks for and guide you through the application. You file it with the utility.
